We were introduced through a mutual friend that Matt has known since childhood and that I met in college. We exchanged phone numbers through this friend and our first phone conversation lasted 3 hours! We knew from the beginning that it was not just mere coincidence that we met, but that God had lead us to each other. So many of our views and goals were very very close. A few days later we met at my school and hung out all afternoon. Three days later Matt asked me to be his girlfriend on September 23, 2007. We knew from almost the beginning that we were the "one" for each other. Only 5 months after we started dating on February 23, 2008, Matt asked me to marry him on the square in Covington! I said yes! We immediately began planning for our wedding, and on August 23, 2008 we were wed at the Alpine Wedding Chapel in Helen, Georgia at 2pm surrounded by 40 of our closest family members and friends! After a wonderful honeymoon in Helen, we returned to set up our home and begin life as Mr. and Mrs. Three short months after we said I do, Matt suffered a bowl perforation due to a birth defect and almost passed away, Matt made a full recovery after emergency surgery. We welcomed our fur baby Daisy on May 15, 2010 and she is totally spoiled rotten! In early June 2011 we were bless to discover that we are expecting our first child, a daughter, due February 28, 2012 and we are naming her Lauren Ella. We joined Newton Baptist Church in August 2011.
